Why is it a good idea to offer us an art crate?

There are a few reasons why:

    Less pollution

By offering us a wooden crate, you are making a very wasteful art world a little less nature-damaging by reducing the environmental impact of discarded art packaging. Quality artwork crates can last for many years if used and stored properly. Your shipping crate, donated to us, will get a chance for a second life instead of being dumped directly into a landfill.

    Reuse rather than recycle

Recycling wooden art crates is also surprisingly problematic. The raw, unpainted wood is easily recyclable, but most crates are painted, treated with chemicals, have a lot of screws and nails, have glued plywood, or have foams attached, making them very difficult to recycle. As a result, they usually end up being hauled to the nearest landfill, even if they were properly disposed of. By donating a crate to us, you reduce the environmental impact.

    Hassle Free

Proper disposal of wooden crates is complicated. You usually have to take it apart and haul it yourself to the nearest disposal facility. Because crates are often bulky and heavy, this process requires tools, time, proper transportation, and people. All of which means extra expense. But we will take your fine art crate at no cost. You save time and money.
